Thanks jaf1948, this isn't the only share that I've lost big on, I'm down c.£60K, just trying to salvage something.
I've just read through this thread, and it seems that as long as ANGM is in administration there is a small hope that they will sort things out, sell some gold, pay the lenders and we will still have a company. Then I read that Arctic Mining has sprung like a Phoenix in ANGM's skin. How can Arctic Mining exist whilst ANGM is in administration? (that was rhetorical, not aimed at you jaf1948). This shenanigans cannot be right.
Thanks to everyone, for creating this forum, for teaming up and helping each other and for sharing knowledge, it helps. I'll be looking in in a couple of weeks. GLA

'BTW does anyone know if the loss can be registered with HMRC and used to offset CGT in the future (I should be so lucky). I'm guessing as this is AIM it cannot?'

Yes but not until HMRC declare that the shares have 'negligible' value which they cannot do whilst the company is still in administration. Assuming the worst (i.e. our shares are worthless) you will be able to claim a CGT relief in 2013-14.

I'm off on holiday tomorrow and have just found this forum. I'll certainly be looking in when I return. For the record, as it seems you are collecting members holding details, I have 822,624 shares split with my wife (CGT reasons. Ha!) at an average of 0.45p. They were worth £4.4K at suspension, but cost me £36.7K, and many sleepless nights! I am a fool. If we can salvage something, I'd like to be a part of it. Here's hoping.

test,test,test - Page 8 Empty Director Resignations

Post by SOVEREIGN Sat Mar 09, 2013 8:17 am

Our financial backers have had a member sitting on the BOD on and off for some years, which means that they must have approved every move that NH made?
My question to NH:- Why did the Chairman and other director resign in last few weeks, who ? instructed them to go. This action severley weekened the board in very critical times.
I cannot understand why NH has agreed to meet Moneypenny If he is aware of the action group then he knows that his replies to questions will be reported back and he cannot keep passing the buck back to the administrators. He has got a lot of news, good or bad that has not been given to us over the last few weeks.
At the risk of being shot by other members, should the holdings of the directors be added to total losses.
My own loss is £5 k which to a retired 74 year old is a lot of money.
Yet again THANK YOU Moneypenny and the other more knowledgeable members who are trying to move it forward.

Has anyone actually told the Administrators yet that we are trying to form an Action Group ? They may say 'So what' or they may say it's already too late or they may tell us what is the correct next step should be. Whichever way, I'm sure we should tell them.

I have no idea why your message has disappeared. You’ll have to bear with me as I’m still trying to understand the configuration of this Forum !!

Also I’ve not tried it myself but are you able to send links? Is anybody having trouble?

All calculations are based on losses of £ 10k and above only.
Thank you.

Hutchy1 I calculated your holding of 2.2 ml shares @52 which was the price prior entering administration. £ 11,440
That figure was included in my post that mysteriously disappeared. Luckily am keeping separate records.
We now have 83 registered and 20 members declaring losses which brings the painful number to:
£ 646,440.

Post by Guest Sat Mar 09, 2013 5:11 am

Where is my message advising of the 81 registered members of which 18 declared losses of £ 10k & above which came to
£ 526,440. It is clearly a lot more now and the letter to the MP has been sent guiding them to the forum.
Why has my message been taken off ?

Quite understandable I've sent you an email have a read and get back to me. As one of the guys has said on here someone IF we want/need to would have to be retained and obviously cost involved.

test,test,test - Page 8 Empty Dear All,

Post by Moneypenny Sat Mar 09, 2013 3:32 am

I sold all my shares in October and make a substantial loss, I can’t technically be part of the action group as I have no equity to fight for.
I believe we have all been misguided and I’m very sad to hear so many will come away with nothing. Because of my losses and the way I feel ANGM has been managed over the last few years I would like to help in any way I can
I’m more than happy to manage the Forum and attend the meeting with Nick to put forward your questions.
To spearhead the group you need someone with some knowledge of corporate law and intellect (I’d be well out of my depth!)

Add another £7.5k loss from me.

Not a great deal compared to some but enough to make a big difference to me Sad
